Energy FAQs

What does an energy broker do?

Energy Brokers (also called consultants) help their clients procure electric or natural gas rates from energy wholesalers/suppliers.

What is a Retail Energy Provider?

A Retail Energy Provider (REP) sells electric energy to retail customers in deregulated markets where the sale of electricity is open to retail competition. A REP buys wholesale electricity, delivery service, and related services, prices electricity for customers, and seeks customers to buy electricity at retail.
